Description
Alto Adige Moscato Giallo grapes grown in the calcareous and clay-rich soils of the Oltradige hills in Alto Adige are used to make Moscato Giallo DOP, a superb late harvest wine. The grapes, which are harvested late and let to dry in crates for five months, concentrate their sugars and aromatics before being softly pressed in March and then aged in barrique for twelve months.
The end product is a golden nectar with rich flowery honey notes, traces of orange zest, and tropical scents of mango and maracuja. The wine strikes the ideal balance between sweetness and vitality, maintaining a superb acidity and freshness despite its opulence.
As a wine that rewards meticulous cellaring with increased complexity over time—up to 10 years and beyond—it also excels as a meditation wine and pairs well with sweets and aged cheeses.
