The coveted Tonda Iblea olives, which are grown in the center of the Iblean Mountains, are used to make the premium olive oil known as i Muri Sicilia IGP Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
This oil is a genuine depiction of the island’s rich history and is produced by Frantoi Covato, which is situated in the picturesque San Giacomo district close to Ragusa. In order to preserve the olives’ inherent flavors and scents, the oil is manually collected and extracted using sophisticated techniques.
The term ‘i Muri’ honors the distinctive dry stone walls that characterize the Iblean landscape, where century-old trees coexist with olive groves.
