Description
Nestled between 250 and 300 meters above sea level in Alto Adige, Terlano’s sun-kissed slopes produce the crisp, expressive, and fresh Terlano Pinot Bianco DOP white wine. The flavor of this wine is defined by the mineral backbone that the grapes receive from the reddish porphyry-rich soils in which they are grown.
The wine rests on fine lees, which give it structure and a creamy texture, after being partially malolactically fermented for 9–10 days in steel at regulated temperatures (18°C).
The end product is a crisp, elegant Pinot Bianco with subtle notes of apple, fresh herbs, and toasted nuts. It has a vibrant, well-balanced tongue and is very drinkable. Its mellow mouthfeel and buttery finish are enhanced by maturation, particularly in well-aged instances.
This Pinot Bianco, a true staple of the area, goes well with light pastas, seafood, or as a sophisticated aperitivo. It’s a wonderful way to introduce the elegance of Alto Adige whites and is both fresh and adaptable.
